Today, I received a notice that if I don't move the abandoned vehicle from outside my house it will be repossessed at my expense. My car isn't abandoned. FML

As long as you have valid license plates on it, they can't say it's abandoned.

Strategically place a note in your car which covers the VIN # stating it is not an abandoned vehicle.

Right? I mean I'm always seeing signs about garage sales. Should be able to pick up a garage there pretty cheap.

I had neighbors who reported my car as abandoned & the police tagged it...(It was a bright red, 1990 ford escort gt, & looked like new) the neighbors just wanted my car towed so their friends could park in my spot & I had to call the city & my landlord to tell them to tell the next person who reported my car that I'd sue the caller for false reporting,impound fees & I'd sue the city if they took my car...never happened again (especially since the landlord evicted the jerks who reported my car) & the cops never put a sticker on my car again for fear of a lawsuit.
