I feel like the author is a guy I went to grade school with in Alabama...I wonder..
Ask them if it's ok to cook a steak to medium if a customer asks for rare, too They're modelling bad examples for you to follow
I am also a chef and your uniform is supposed to be on the bigger size then what you need so that God for bid hot oil spills on you you are supposed to be able to pull your top off with out any problem. That happened to my friend who had on a top that was right on her and she couldn't get it off in time and the oil burnt her. If it's bigger then what you need it'll be easier to take off
If that's the case, why not design the uniforms to be bigger enough that the oil can't get through, but also can't fall to the point it blocks the hands? And if XS swamped OP, wouldn't it have been sufficient size?
with those feet, you really should try clown school.
Honestly, that's an interesting dilemma you're stuck in Anyway, good luck on getting things sorted out
I just finished a course at culinary school and the clothes are meant to be baggy, they are meant to prevent grease burns
This is random, and I don't know if OP will see it, but do you go to Johnson & Wales?

You can't perform very easily in the kitchen when your clothes (especially sleeves) are that big! You could cut a finger off! Also I'm pretty sure that if the shoes are that small then you probably won't even be able to get them on. So go in with your feet hanging out of your shoe, you sleeves pulled over your hands and your trousers dragging on the floor and just see if they won't give you a re-order
I feel your pain. Often in that slim grey area of too big for kid's clothes and too small for adult's.
