Today, I showed up to work at 6am, only to find out the schedule was changed. I wasn't actually supposed to be there until 9:15. My boss never told me this. I didn't get to go home either, he just said "Oh well. Get to work." FML

Today, my boss called on my day off and told me to come to work. She neglected to tell me that it was simply to give me my recent paycheck after it got lost, but then she said, "Since you showed up in uniform, you might as well clock in for today. The new guy no-showed again." FML

Today, I got up at 3:15 a.m. to be ready for work at 5 a.m. I get to my work station to find absolutely no work to do. After talking with my boss, I was sent home with no pay. If I'd been employed there 3 weeks longer, I would've been paid for 4 hours. FML

Today, my boss sprang a company workshop on us that I was not informed of, which kept me at work until 10 PM. He expected us all back at 8 AM the next day to continue. On a good day it takes me 3 hours to commute. I got written up for being 10 minutes late to the workshop, after getting up at 4 AM to get there. FML

Today, I was chastised by the CEO in the middle of a management meeting for showing up late to work every day, despite being in my office before 9:00am every morning. It was my 5th day on the job and no one had bothered to tell me that the office opens at 8:00am, and not 9:00am. FML

My boss once changed my schedule without telling me and then chewed me out for being late! I, in turn, chewed him out for not bothering to tell me he changed the schedule! No reason to put up with idiots.

This could have gone one of two ways. 1. "F*** that, I'll be back at 9:15." If that's the time you were supposed to go to work then legally no one can MAKE you work earlier. 2. "Ok, I'll work now, but I'm getting paid overtime." its a long shot as most companies are very anti overtime, however if you are working longer than you have to, then you need to be getting paid over time, easy as that. If you did neither of those, then my spineless friend, be ready to be taken advantage of for the rest of your life.

Pretty sure he isn't allowed to just tell you "Oh well, get to work" outside of your work hours. You could've just gone home if you wanted, then again, it does means more money :P
