Today, I slipped on a plastic bag that my mom, the hoarder, was keeping on the stairs. I fell and sprained my ankle, getting rug burn in the process. Her response? Getting mad at me, putting the bag back on the stairs, then getting another to add to the pile. FML

Get her on TV. That's what everyone else does these days when they have a problem.

That has got to suck. People like the OP's mother doesn't need children in a household like that.

Thanks but no thanks (nothing against Boner) This is just an inside joke between pend and I.

When you said slipped on I thought you meant you wore it..

Any other person falling on that bag could have easily sued ur mother then watch her do that shit afterwards when she loses her house.

Hoarders are very difficult to live with and they do indeed value trash more than their relatives. If she is a genuine hoarder, then the OP's mother needs help. If the OP is a minor, then he/she can speak to a school counselor regarding this problem. Good luck, OP. I hope this works out and your mother gets some help with her hoarding issue.

Agreed! Talk to a trusted adult friend or teacher about getting help for you and your mom! Hoarders create fire hazards as well as tripping hazards! It is very dangerous, and that doesn't even address the bugs and bacteria issues! Good luck!

When she goes to work cover the house with plastic bags!

Put a buttload of tacs in her pillow case..facing up so when she lays down. Blam! She gets stabbed .___.
