Today, I sneezed and ended up in the emergency room. How? Apparently the sneeze dislodged a kidney stone that is now slowly, painfully working its way from my kidney to my bladder so that I can piss it out. FML

Okay, who are the 491 jerks in here who thought this person deserved it and why?!?

I don't know how it works for men.. But when i get them they usually drug me up and give me a pill that makes the tunnel bigger for the stone to pass so it's a lot less painful. I understand the pain.. I recently passed 12. Best wishes for fast passing.

12?!? That's crazy! You poor thing. I hope you don't get anymore!

Yeah it wasn't very fun, but no more caffeine for me! And a lot of water! First time it happened I was on my way home from school on the bus.. Literally thought I was dying or my appendix exploded.

Conquer your pain all just in your head

I guess now we know that sneezes DO serve a purpose :]

I know the feeling op I've had to have several surgeries due to kidney stones over the course of 3 years and I'm only 22, just be sure to drink alot of water and try to stay away from any diet sodas. Hope you pass them quickly

That sucks, OP. Drink as much water as you can gag down until it passes.

You know what's funny? I just saw an episode of friends where Joey has a kidney stone and had to pee it out!

My mother (46) has had more than 20 kidney stones. One was a big as a baseball.
