Today, I spent nearly an hour thawing out my car and driving to work in this stupid freezing rain, only to find out that I'm now unemployed due to budget cuts. FML

Today, I spent nearly half an hour clearing several inches of snow off my car. After almost suffering from hypothermia, I finished. Except the car keys were missing from my pocket, presumably buried under a foot of snow. FML

Today, I spent an hour in a snowstorm waiting for my bus to show up. After I got fed up, I decided to just clean off my car and drive to work. After I was halfway finished swiping off the snow and ice stuck to my car, the bus drove right past me. FML

Freezing rain is amazing! I've only seen it once or twice but freezing rain is liquid rain that freezes when it hits the ground. It's rare and incredibly hazardous but it does happen. It forms a sheet of solid ice over everything amazingly quickly. It's very interesting from a scientific point of view - very pure water can be super-cooled below freezing point without turning solid if there is nothing to seed it. It then freezes on contact, shock etc. Try putting a new, unopened, bottle of water in the freezer for about an hour (your mileage may vary). It will come out liquid but if you bang it on the counter it will freeze instantly - you have just created bottled freezing rain!

The "scum of society" are people who do evil, or people who hurt others for their own personal gain. How anyone can think someone who is trying to get a job but is denied is the "scum of society" is beyond me. Not everyone was blessed with a college degree courtesy of mommy and daddy, and if you weren't paying for it now is virtually impossible. The only way to go is through student loans, which means MASSIVE debt without any actual guarantee of a job after graduation.

I know right... He should of fired you at the end of day yesterday.... Inconsiderate bastards... I was laid off once... it was at the end of the day... Trust me it sucks being escorted out in front of a bunch of people like a criminal... maybe there are less people early morning... look at the bright side....
