Today, I spent over $160 and 2 hours preparing for a Halloween party I was throwing. The only person who showed up was my sister, who helped me decorate. FML

That sucks OP. I remember my 18th bday. My parents spent nearly $1000 trying to pull off a big surprise party for me. They rented a building and paid a fortune for my cake (which tasted terrible and looked nothing like how they wanted it). My dad even went out and bought a new sound system and lights. We had a huge snowstorm and only 5 people showed up. It was still one of the best b-days ever cuz the ones that showed up were my very best friends.

Wow, that must have felt so good, knowing that your parents went through all that trouble! I would have felt so embarassed, $1000 is so much money! Somehow this sounds like I'm trolling, but I'm sincerely touched by your parents' love and that five friends' loyalty.

put out invites next time:) or just go to someone elses party less money lol:P

you have a loyal and supportive sister! sometimes this is better than any friends. Invite me next time!

that hurts plus your sister must think your a loser but don't worry she not the only one x)

I'm sorry to hear that lovely. Obviously your friends aren't very loyal to you. At the same time, your sisters loyalty is wonderful. It's times like these where you need to focus on the pro instead of the con. You and your sister most likely still had fun setting up. These things happen and in time you'll look back and laugh about it no doubt.

sorry, but weed and alcohol make a party not streamers. But even if you dont have that stuff the way you invite people matters too. Hope new years will be a blast for you though just remember to get the word out =D
