Today, I spent over $2,000 on a big flatscreen TV. My dad insisted I let him mount it on the wall instead of paying someone to do it. All seemed fine, until the TV came loose and smashed onto the floor. My dad refuses to accept responsibility, and says I should've had a professional install it instead. FML

I've seen 2 FML's so far today involving "quality" family work. Hmm, methinks those 3 words should never be mixed.

Have him replace the TV and get a professional to mount it on the wall.

"Ooh! Dad, let me wash your car!" "Oops, should've hired a professional!" ;)

Go to house and take $2000 worth of his stuff

Subpoena him and take him to small claims.

I had a customer that did this twice in the same week then finally after spending 5000 decided to have us professionally mount the TV for 200 bucks.

Some people can't just can't take responsibility and they always have to be right. I know first hand. Sorry OP
