give it back, it never left the store so you should be fine, they'll just send it back to the mfg as defective
Where are you from? No one does that... it's the "you break it, you buy it" policy. HAHA wow seriously? If he had and dropped the phone, he already bought it. And the store would laugh him out if he asked to return or get his money back. They would say "We can get you a replacement screen for 200 dollars and install it." Good thing for some of us, we know where and how to install new screens for around 20 bucks :D
Are you serious? None of the places I have been do that. If you go in and knock off an expensive glass piece, it's yours. And if we are talking about iphones (which I'm fairly sure we are) no apple store does that. NONE. I have been to apple stores all over the United States. I actually SAW a guy do this exact FML. The person activating their phone laughed and then said "We offer screen replacements for 200 dollars". They would make MORE money offering to replace the screen. Why would they just take the phone back? The person can't sue. And there is no insurance for dropped iphones. And if he DID drop it and sign a new two year agreement, he would have to buy the second phone for FULL PRICE since he is buying another phone before his 2 year agreement is up. So the NEW phone would run about 500-600 dollars depending on the GBs or if it's a 3Gs. Basically phone companies WANT this to happen. It's a huge money maker.
You stood in a line for an hour to get a phone? More fool you... what a complete waste of time. You know it requires someone to be interested in you to make a call? Sure as hell I would not be speaking to anyone who lines up for an hour to get a communication device. Way too sad for words... get a life.
Are you sure you didn't wait for TWO hours to get your phone?
I think you should have posted this complete with a picture on fail blog.
I don't understand why people are so addicted to cell phones that they need a stupid high-tech one that shatters if you drop it. All I need is one that dials and texts, which is why I've been using the same dinky phone for the past 4 or 5 years and it's still doing its job despite it being dropped on concrete and hard floors probably a hundred times and I didn't have to pay a boatload of money for it.
You seriously should consider what your life means to you, we read things here about people losing jobs, finding out their partner is cheating, finding out partner is divorcing them and YOU think the fact that YOU had to wait 1 hour to buy a phone is FML. If that is the extent of your FML, you should seriously consider asking your parent for a retrospective abortion.
I think the word you're looking for there is retroACTIVE, Mikey Walsh. And if anyone asks me who Mikey Walsh is, I'm gonna commit Hare Krishna.
YDI for standing in line for an hour because of a stupid phone :)

Two minutes to drop it? Were you on an airplane at 40,000 ft when you dropped it? Or was it one of those comedy scenes where you were juggling and bobbling it and finally it fell to the ground and got smashed?
are you sure it wasn't a new iphone? all phone's on this website seem to be iphones
