Today, I submitted my 5000 word assignment. When I got home, my mother asked if I'd checked it through one more time like she always warned me to do. I hadn't, therefore hadn't noticed the paragraph on page 11 that she'd written, telling me to pay attention to the small details. FML

Omg who in the world would do such a thing... I would give my mom a sound tounge lashing if she ever tried to do something on that scale. Its your work, not hers. I say you walk around correcting her work for the next month, see how she likes it

I'm sorry, but this is a crappy FML i really don't see what the big deal is. It's not like your gonna get docked points from the assignment or anything, and your teacher isn't gonna show the class your mom writes notes in your papers, plus its more words for you. So ya, this is a crapy FML

Look at it this way- it was a 5000 word essay...your teacher probably won't end up reading the whole thing, unless you're her/his only student...my teachers have told me before that they just skim the paper, and that was for a three page book report. It's all good.

It ticks me off when people say you deserved it. Who writes a 5000 word assignment and then reads it over? I doubt any of the people who say you deserved it would have looked it over. And your mother had no right to do that. Hopefully your teacher just skims it, or understands what your mom did and can laugh about it. Because NO ONE writes a huge essay and then reads it over for mistakes - if I do, my brain shuts down and doesn't notice any of the mistakes, I have to read it later, when I haven't been focusing on it.
