Today, my pet squirrel died, it was my first pet, and now my other squirrel won't eat. I'm going to find that son of a bitch! but seriously ydi, you could have swerved into a car and killed both the animals, a person driving with kids in the car, and yourself... that's how my friend died.

Why are you assuming that by swerving into the opposite lane OP would have been in a blind spot and have been unable to see cars coming in the other lane...? It could have been a clear road with no cars in the other lane or OP could of swerved a little within their own lane...

It's not an assumption, it's conjecture. the fact of the matter is that COULD have happened, and does happen in similar situations. human > squirrel It's better to be careful and not have someone's blood on your hands. That's how my aunt and her baby died.
