That happens to my family so much!!! my dad ate worms in broccolis 'til I saw them, he once ate a worm in a carrot and then discovered its family lived here and we discovered about a dozen of ants in a bag of nuts. And my discovered some worms in her salad before eating it
I feel for you OP. I was recently a reluctant anteater as well. Sounds like you were wiser than me and looked before you ate. I discovered ants have a very unique....surprisingly strong taste.
