Hi everyone, op here, the reason I had wrappers in my pocket was because I was handing out candy for Halloween at my friends house and cleaned up wrappers from eaten candy, forgetting that I had money in my pocket because I got it before I went home to put it in my wallet. While I was throwing it away I just grabbed the war of junk out of my pocket and I was having a conversation with my friend so I didn't notice the money in there while shoving it in the trash. I can't go back to my friends house because he lives very far away, I have texted and called him to ask if he can at least look for it for me and he has not replied. Happy Halloween!

Perhaps getting that 20$ invested in a wallet wouldn't be a bad idea

50, I disagree. If I left money at one of my friend's houses, most or all of them would at least look for it and try to get it back to me. I'd say if your friends are really so greedy that they wouldn't return your money, they're not friends worth keeping.
Yeah, it wouldn't cross my mind to take $20 that a friend lost. That's just evil.
#50, I think you need to find better friends.
#50, that says a lot about you and nothing about people in general. And let me just say, I'll freely admit that I am a greedy person - I just am. But with friends, I couldn't care less about $20 here or there. That just what friends do.
For Christ's sake, #50, its $20, not $2 mil. If your friends turn into greedy animals over $20 and would steal that, you may need a new group of friends.
Dude if my friend lost $20 at my house and didn't live anywhere close to me it is not even worth returning it to them.
I know how that is... oh I know... *shudders*
Nope. My boyfriend is the same, he always keeps cash in his pockets and frequently ends up freaking out when he misplaces it or it falls out somewhere. Or he does laundry without checking his pockets and the money gets a nice soaking. I keep telling him to keep it in his wallet before he loses a bunch of money for good but I guess he'll have to learn that lesson the hard way, same as OP...
I lost 20 bucks the other day too, it was a a phone credit docket that looked exactly like my other receipts, got caught up in a lot of things at the time and next thing I realised I threw it out along with the other receipts, you couldn't dig it out of the bin, it was locked. FML
If a you got is $20 you should consider selling whatever device you're posting from
You could've invested in a wallet with that money!

$20 is worth digging through the trash to get back.
