Maybe they used a condem and it broke? Even the pill isn't 100% effective(which is how I got here). YDI if you didn't use protection, but FYL if you did and it failed.

Yeah - I vaugely know someone who was using both the pill and condoms and still got pregnant. I'd say that's about as unlucky as it gets, but it just goes to show that these things do fail.
