Today, I took a taxi to my hotel. I specifically said that my destination was the Hilton resort. He took me to a bed and breakfast across town. When I finally got to my hotel, I cursed him out and didn't give him a tip. I then realized I'd left my phone in the taxi after he left. FML

Today, I rode in the cab on the way back to my dorm from the airport. The taxi driver was on the phone and not really paying attention. I paid him and got out of the cab, but he drove away before I could get my luggage out of the trunk. FML

Today, I called a taxi after a night of partying. When it arrived, I realised I had no cash, so I told the driver I'd quickly grab some from an ATM. He made me leave my phone with him as collateral in case I was pulling a prank. He drove off the moment I turned my back. FML

Today, I had to take a taxi to work, because I was pressed for time, and didn't have a ride there. When I got to work, I paid the cab driver, and realized I had spent more money on the cab than I was going to make at work. FML

Today, I took a cab ride home from a bar. After a few minutes of horrible driving, I felt sick. The cab driver got so mad she locked me in the car and started driving me to the cops unless I payed her extra. Basically, I paid $120 for a five-minute cab ride. FML

Today, I was taking a taxi home after drinking too much. I started to feel sick and, not wanting to be charged the cab cleaning fee, threw up into my handbag instead. When we got to my place I then had to fish through my bag for my wallet to pay the driver. FML

Today, it's my first day as an expat. Hoping to arrive early for work, I hailed a cab. The driver took it upon himself to take the scenic route and play tour guide, no matter how much I refused. Not only was I late, he turned violent when I refused to pay his $100 fare plus a "talent fee." FML

Ha ha. YDI While it is annoying that they took you to the wrong place you should always repeat the destination at least twice to make sure they heard you right the first time. But this is Karma in action.... and she is a mean bitch. So next time don't piss her off.

I honestly don't see how this is karma in action. A cab driver fails at his job, OP has to pay extra for being driven to the wrong place and wasting time..and they deserve to lose their phone for being upset and not giving the man a tip for failing? I dunno man, I don't think OP deserves it.

Maybe you should have kept calm and the taxi driver might have been more inclined to put it in a lost and found, in which case you would have a much greater chance of getting it back.

Makes you feel good to curse the person out doesn't it? They messed up, so yeah you don't have to tip cause that's a pretty big mistake but the cursing out was going over the limit. So yeah you pretty much deserved that last part. Cooler heads always prevail.
