be thankful your dog is okay! my mom had a dog that had cancer and she loved him so much that she paid thousands of dollars keep him alive, without one single complaint. he was worth every penny to her.
What food is he eating? We found out after our first dog died of cancer that the contents in his food contained elements of anti freeze etc and could fatally harm your dog - look it up if you're unsure and get him a food that has a high meat content! It might be expensive, but rather that than a dead dog/lots of vet bills.
You must have changed food brand, no? YDI for not making the link.
How is this an FML? Your dog is okay! You should be glad.
You might want to get a second opinion if he doesnt start eating soon. Change his food and if he doesnt eat tomorrow take him to a different vet the next day.
Taking him to another vet isn't going to solve the problem. The new vet won't know the dog's history and will just charge another consult fee, while the first one is probably only going to charge a follow up consult. At least the first vet knows what the history is and where to go from there should the dog not eat even though the owner changed the food. If the owner changes the food the dog might get diarrhea and it will take a few days to get used to the new food also. Also, the dog might just be a fussy eater and won't like the new food, but it won't be a reflection on the first vet.
If random dogs or cats come onto my property I just shoot them. Same with an animal who becomes sick, I'd rather take their life and save some money.
Yes it can become quite dangerous, butttttt here in mother Russia we don't like animals or fat chicks so the taking of the life is considered a necessity in regards to both strays anddd fat chicks.
aww. at least to care enough to know the signs of antifreeze poisoning. a lot of people don't.

hey...at least your dog is fine! i'd spend a lot more if it came to my dog's health!
That also could have been a sign of diabetes, so you did the right thing!
