Today, I took my dogs to an empty park. While they were running around, I laid down in the grass to read a book. Someone thought I was a dead body and called the cops. The police and paramedics showed up. This is the second time it's happened. FML

haha WTF who sees someone reading and assumes it's a dead body without even going closer or yelling "hey! you okay over there?" or...something? were you in a really bad part of town where people find dead bodies frequently?

my bad, thought you said a dog park. how can someone mistake you for being dead?? get a tan and pay more attention to your dogs, maybe that'll help.

next time get up and pretend to be a zombie

I like how people are saying, "Get a tan!" Can tan people not die? Did I miss something?

LOL!!!!!!!something similar happened to me when i was in 11th grade. I was reading and i had my arms to my side and my hoodie on and some people murmuring next to me were saying things like: "Is she dead?" "should we poke her or something?" "maybe we should get a teacher?"

How can someone think you're dead when you're READING? If you'd been taking a nap, I could've understood... but reading? If you're on your back, you have to hold the book somehow. And I haven't seen many corpses with a book in their raised hand. If you're on your belly, you have to prop yourself on your elbows. Or do you read with your face ON the book?? I really don't see how this is possible.

Because people are truly THIS F*CKING STUPID. I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone about what book they last read. All I ever get are "I don't read," or "I hate books." Or probably the second-to-worst of all: "I only read Twilight." (F*ck do I want to punch that person in the face until they can't breathe; I don't count that as reading let alone being a book). So I can totally see it possible for someone to see a book, an object so foreign to them, as a murder weapon and think the person doing this "reading" they had never heard of was dead.

Vampires are of the devil, they should not be allowed in public or own dogs. Just because Japan made TrueBlood doesn't mean us law-abiding citizens want you around. Go back to Satan, Op.

I think the cop "killed" someone when he really didn't and made sure someone watched the cop do it.
