Today I took my dogs to the off leash dog park as usual. Today some dick decided to feed my pup alcohol while I was cleaning up after my other dog. Now my pup is sick and the vet is worried he may not survive. FML

Today, I took my dog to the dog park and let him off the leash for a bit. He ran straight towards a group of people having a picnic, jumped on their blanket, and devoured half of their food before I could catch him. They were surprisingly forgiving, but I had to buy them lunch to make up for it. FML

Today, I took my dog to the park. While chatting with another dog owner, my dog managed to steal their sandwich and ran off with it. I had to chase my sandwich-thieving dog through the entire park. FML

Today, I took my dogs to the park and sat in the grass while they played. Within the first half hour two male dogs peed on my back. The first owner apologized and gave me a wipe to clean up while the second one had the nerve to tell me "this is why I bring a chair" FML

Today, I was walking my dog through a park with a lake. My dog was swimming in said lake, and then appeared to be having trouble keeping his head up. I put my phone and keys on the ground and waded to my dog. He was fine, but I turned around in time to see someone run off with my stuff. FML

Today, I was walking in the park with my girlfriend, when out of nowhere, I was savaged and brutally humped into submission by a massive Great Dane. Not only did my girlfriend watch it all, but the dog's owner took the time to snap a few pictures with his phone. Neither bothered to help me. FML

Today, I was working with some shelter puppies transporting them to the vet's. I got all of the puppies in but one, and when I went to pull him out, I realized he had gotten car sick. Before I could stop it happening, he wagged his vomit-covered tail and hit me in the face. FML

I put this up weeks ago. The pup is fine and I have not been back to the park. I was momentarily distracted picking up the poop from my other dog, which is the only reason he got near to the guy. Regardless of all else, I would never have expected anyone to give an unknown dog/pup alcohol especially at a park where there are heaps of dogs and plenty of kids.

You're supposed to watch your animals to keep them safe! Look for poisoning symptoms such as vomiting, wild fluctuations in body temperature, labored breathing, and also potential kidney damage. Dog kidneys and livers aren't meant to process and detoxify alcohol sadly.

Glad the pup is ok. This is why I stopped going to most dog parks. We had too many incidents of people hurting dogs at them here. Even the nicest one had incidents.

It's animal abuse though? I've heard some cops refuse to care when it's animal cases, and say there's nothing you can do, but it's their job to prosecute. What was their reasoning against it? Was there not enough evidence/witnesses? You can at least sue for the medical bills if nothing else.
