Today, I took my driving test for the first time. The instructor stopped it after less than ten minutes, and insisted she drive back to the test centre "in the interest of public safety." FML

Today, I had my first driving test. The instructor turned out to be the kind of twit who made me do the full 60-minute test, only to tell me afterwards that he was failing me for the only mistake I made less than 2 minutes after the test started. Time wasting tit. FML

Today, I passed my driver's test. My instructor took the learner signs off his car and let me drive back to my place. I guess he didn't bet on me crashing the car just a few blocks from the test center. FML

Today, I drove 45 minutes to take my full driver's test. At the end of the test, the instructor told me I'd done everything perfectly, but had failed before I left the parking lot. I didn't see the "one way" sign at the entrance. FML

Today, I went to take my driver's test, and I did almost everything perfectly. The last thing was to back into a driveway. As I went to put my hand on the passenger seat to look over my shoulder, I got so nervous that I hit my instructor in the face. FML

Today, I took my driving test. I was nervous, but I thought I followed the rules of the road pretty well. My tester ended up failing me for "backing out too slowly". FML

Today, while I was taking my driver's test, my instructor received a text message. He promptly had a panic attack and screamed for me to pull over. It turned out his wife wanted a divorce. The last 15 minutes of my test consisted of him sobbing to himself as I drove back to the DMV. FML

Today, I took my driving test. As I was about to turn at a green light, a car sped toward us from the other direction, running a red light. My instructor failed me because I stopped to avoid getting rammed. Apparently I should have kept going, because it was my right of way. FML

I think this is a bit of a porky pie. Driving test examiners wouldn't be allowed to drive the car as they are not insured. If the test goes horribly wrong then they have to stop the car and walk back to the test centre with the car keys so your driving instructor can come and pick you up.

Yes they can. That is how you are insured to drive your instructor's car. At least they are in the UK. I don't know where you're from so I don't know the rules there. And all the people saying it's a long test, mine took about 35 minutes and I passed first time with only 2 minors. OP, I don't know what happened but my parents told me that all the best people pass second time (they both took two attempts, my sister also passed first time) So just have some more lessons and try again. Good luck.

Somehow, someway, I got my drivers license at 17 without doing any written or driving tests. I had a waiver for the driving portion, but they didn't even make me take the written test! LOL. Win.
