Today, I took some new allergy medicine I had never tried before, and I didn't bother reading the side effects. I then went to school. It was almost an hour before dismissal when I had felt a warm feeling on my legs. One of the side effects to my new medicine was bladder control problems. FML

Today, I found out about allergies suddenly getting worse out of nowhere when it happened to mine. I can hardly step outside without feeling like hell when I get back home, which was never the case before, and I'm going through allergy medicine like a drug addict (almost). FML

Today, I went on a new medicine. One of the listed side-effects was "anal seepage" and I spent the better part of the day laughing with my coworkers about how it's "not a real side-effect". I found out that it really is while stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the way home. FML

Today, I woke up with the worst cold, ever. My nose was running like crazy and my eyes were all puffy. So I stumbled over to the medicine cabinet and took what I thought were three tylenol cold's. Two hours later I'm still sick and I can't leave the bathroom. They were laxatives. FML

Today, I woke up to my stomach being torn up from the inside. Barely made it to the bathroom, but of course, it wasn’t the one in my room, where I could easily change my clothes after a quick shower. After running down all my new meds, I realized it had to be my new sleep aid. It was helping too. FML

Today, a lady stormed into the pharmacy I work at and chewed me out because the medicine I sold her the day before gave her horrible diarrhea as a "side effect". I checked, and it was the medicine she asked for - laxatives. FML

Today, due to the high pollen count and despite taking hay fever medicine, I passed out in the bathroom from not being able to breathe. My mother accused me of doing it on purpose to make her late for work. FML

Today, I had a very important test. Last night, I'd had such bad leg pains that I couldn't sleep, so I took two very strong painkillers and went to sleep pain-free. I apparently accidentally overdosed, because when I woke up, I couldn't see properly or even stand up. And I missed my test. FML

truly never heard of that side effect with allergy medications but what happened happened. people are going to make fun because they haven't had an experience like that. I have heard of other medications causeing such problems so switch back to your old medication and i'm sorry op but fyl

I never heard of "pissing yourself" as a side effect, especially for allergy medicine. Admit it, you just pissed your pants and it had nothing to do with allergies.

You guys are saying "YDI for not reading the side effects" but how many of you are actually affected by the side effects listed on medication? Secondly, how many of you actually read the side effects? Maybe you do but then again, maybe you're all hypocrites. Just because a medication SAYS it can cause nausea and vomiting for example doesn't mean that you would actually expect it to.

I went to the doctor once and got some medication for a sore throat, and one of the side effects was sore throat. I think I actually may have gotten that side effect, too, since my throat didn't stop hurting until I ran out of medication. Hard to tell though, really.
