I don't understand why you have to delete the character to prove your maturity or loyalty...
i commend you for your attempt. if at all possible could you find another way to prove it to her? but im speaking from the outside in since my girlfriend is into gaming.
It's a good shot OP... I understand too. But, here's a solution. Get her to play too :P It worked for my boyfriend lol - But, beware of what you wish for: I just ended up rolling higher than him on the only mount he farmed for so long: Ashes of A'lar :D (Tell her she doesn't need to raid, or game hardcore, she can go fishing and collect pets (if she's not into games so much) Good luck!
If she thinks your game is "immature" then she has the problem, you don't need to change to like her or to prove her anything! I'm a gamer girl and I wouldn't erase any of my beloved characters because of anybody! You need to find someone who likes you for who you are and that includes the love for gaming! good luck!
And I thought I was the only one...
if your girlfriend can't accept that you like videos games and such, she doesn't love you. my boyfriend plays with his games, and afterwards it's like having the best boyfriend ever as the video games lets out his frustration.
"As a fellow gamer". 2 things, does she force you to do this? If so, you do not have to really, its just a hobby, like any other hobbies out there. You should do whatever you perfer as long as its not illegal. And I agree, it sucks. If she do not force you but its your own idea and can not come to it, just let it be unsubscribed and sit there. You have not lost it but you do not use it. Honestly, it should not be that hard to remove a character, if it is, you might be a addict, not a gamer. There is supportgroups and help for people that are addicted to gaming specifically that can help you. I registred just to make this comment, been there, sucks, now I am no addict, but a avid and dedicated gamer, its no difference then how I was back then, besides the problems in the head we get when we get to attached. Dissregards any type-errors, my spellcheck is not working. ;)

It's always a hard life for us video gamers. I empathize OP.
**** that! You shouldn't have to delete anything you don't want to man! If she can't accept that you play WOW or any other video game, she doesn't love you for who you are. Live your life how you want to! Not how she thinks it should be lived
