Today, a woman who has a history of being horrible came into my work. I had to help her, so I was determined to be so nice that she couldn't possibly complain about me, as she has about several coworkers before. Apparently, I was too nice. Now she loves me and wants me to help her every time she comes in. FML

Today, I angrily scolded one of my employees for making an avoidable mistake for the third time. Unfortunately, my mother decided to pay me a surprise visit, and arrived mid-rant. She chewed me out for being mean and made me apologize. Now everyone at work calls me "mama's boy" and nobody takes me seriously. FML

I work with kids and hear this all the time. I make them say thank you when I do things for them. One girl told me I was mean because I told her no when she asked for another juice. If you little craps lose your minds and fall into a teary panic over hearing no at the age of 12 or 13 you are going to have an extremely depressing life.
