Today, I walked into the kitchen at 5 am, to have my 7 and 9 year olds throw a bucket of water on me. To their surprise and horror, I didn't melt. FML

Did they watch the Wizard of Oz recently?

Played to Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon? *wait for the lion to roar*

The THIRD roar! THAT'S the important one!

Did you send the flying monkeys after them?

O kids. That's some story you tell them when they grow up.

The wizard lied to us! Runnn!!

I don't think the Wizard ever told them that the Witch would melt with water. Dorothy figured it out on her own when she tried to douse the burning Scarecrow and the Witch was in the way. All the Wizard wanted was her damn broom.

I'm more curious as to why a 7 & 9 year old would be awake @ 5 am and thinking clearly enough to get together and do that...are they possessed? Maybe tell them you're taking them to an exorcist to have the demons of stupidity banished from their bodies or you could touch their foreheads with a Bible, start quoting scriptures & see if the shriek in pain & run....then you'll know if there's something to really worry about.

That seems a little over the top.

26- When I was nine, I would stay up the entire night on the weekends, going to bed at 6am or 7am, and waking up around 1pm. Last night was a Saturday night, so it is possible that the older one at least was awake the entire night. My parents let me have free reign of my sleep schedule from around the age of nine, under the conditions that I was never mouthy or irritable when I had to wake up, continued getting good school scores, and behaved well. I'd play Priston Tale or FFX the entire night, then trot out to the kitchen, make my parent's toast and coffee, and wake them up, feeling totally awesome about myself. I realize that's highly unusual parenting, but it's possible that OP's kids are like that.

It's actually normal for some kids to be up and alert that early. I know mine are. :/

You obviously don't have children or didn't have sibling around your age group growing up. It is quite normal for kids to stay up late special with a brother or sister close to their age

My kids are pretty good about going to bed when needed to, on the weekends I usually let them have free reign but they're also only 6 & 7. I'm all for "unusual parenting" as long as it's healthy!

That's so traumatic for your kids. Now they see you're an unstoppable witch and they're stuck with you!

Not melting in water would mean she's NOT a witch.

Nope your just here to assassinate the nuns.

Aren't they a little young for that lol
