Today, I was about to have sex with my boyfriend for the first time. As things got heated, he broke down crying. I assumed it was just anxiety so I hugged him and told him it's alright and that it didn't matter, we'd try another time. Half an hour later, he confessed that he's actually gay. FML

just be supportive. you may be the first person he's told.

FYL, but F his life too. It does suck that your relationship's essentially over, but if you care about him, try to do your best to support him. It sounds like he's either fighting with it, or has kept it in. I hope things work out for both of you OP!

I dislike all of the negative comments cause I have lots of friends. there all girls cause I'm gay but you should be his friend if you can't have a relationship with him so be his best Friend.

I'm really sorry to hear that OP but there's plenty of fish in the sea as they say. I'm actually really impressed that your reaction to his breaking down and crying right before sex was to comfort him and tell him everything was okay. With kindness like that, anyone would be lucky to have you :)

Let him give you anal. That way he can experience the same feeling with you. It's a win win

I'm sorry for both of you, since you are in a relationship together. It must be heartbreaking, but I'm sure he'd love you forever if you're supportive. It must be hard to come out like that, and it must be hard to find out like that.

That's unfortunate that he didn't tell you that before but you were very nice and handled what you thought was anxiety well.

At least it wasn't after OP, I know it must be difficult

Gay men are no more particular than straight men. They just like the other half of the population. Your brief post is laden with stereotypes, and it's unfortunate if you believe them.
