Today, I was at a restaurant with my kids. I told my 13 year old about how the very first time she said she loved me. She was 2 and it was at this very restaurant. I told her the details and even started tearing up a little. She didn't even look up from her cell phone and said, "That's fab, ma." FML

I'm only a year older than OP's daughter, and I would have probably gushed all about it! :') Am I the only one who loves hearing stories about their childhood?

...why did you think your kid was going to care about something they cant even remember and possibly didnt even mean? when I was a toddler I remember telling my parents I loved them all the time. I also remember that most of the time I was lying but I did it anyways since it made them happy.

Sorry to break you the news, it's impossible to remember anything at that young of an age. So I highly doubt you can remember telling your parents that you love them, let alone knowing that you lied about it. However, if something traumatic happened then I could understand someone remembering the event.

IM ******* 15 AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CELLPHONE -.-

Just an example of how much our world is going to shit.

Not all 13-14 year olds are like that. I'm 14 and I love my Mom. Your daughter is just disrespectful

Im 13 and i luv my mom too! And i totally agree

I'm sorry, but who in the actually hell says "fab"? Other than that, she was probably just embarrassed because she was in public.

Am i the only one who gives a crap abt their mom at 13 years old?!
