Today, I was at a school rally I was talking to my friends when I noticed the entire gym had gotten quiet. Not knowing why I thought it would be funny to yell out "it's too quiet!" apparently it was a moment of silence for a teacher that had recently died. FML

Today, was teacher appreciation day at my school. They played a slideshow of all the teachers. The students cheered wildly for every teacher. When my picture came up, nobody clapped. The whole room was quiet. FML

Today, my English teacher asked me why I didn't have my project completed. Thinking quick on my feet, I told her it was because my grandmother had just passed away. Something similar happened to me in high school. I was standing with a bunch of friends during down time in orchestra and we were talking about the old 'super hero' cartoon called The Tick. It suddenly got really quiet and I thought it was would be funny and relevent to our conversation to suddenly yell out SPOON as the The Tick used to do. Apparantly the reason it was quiet was because the composer had just called us all to attention and was about to tell us the seriousness of the competition we were in.
