Today, I was at a small secret Santa with a group of friends. Everyone got each other some amazing gifts, the first person got a homemade self portrait, the second person got some professional grade playing cards, the third person got an album of past memories, and I got a pack of pens. FML

I'd be happiest with the pens tbh. I'm a writer and I never have enough pens. I also have a stationery obsession... so yeah, I'd be okay with getting pens. Especially if they were nice ones (obviously I don't know how nice the pens you got were, or were not). Okay well the album of memories is sweet. I ******* hate playing with cards though, so those are useless to me. And a self portrait, idk *maybe* if it was really well done usually I find them kind of creepy though.

I remember, a few years ago, I was doing secret santa with girls, and a few boys. So after everything happened, I gave the girl I got 5 dollars and a chocolate bar. I got a big Santa case filled with candy. I felt really bad, as my gift was sh*t compared to that, so I went back and gave the person 20$, and some chocolate and sprinkle covered candycanes, with cool little designs and all that. .-.

Christmas is about giving. I'm sorry you did not get a good gift. Maybe think about how happy the person is who received your gift? You never know the impact you have with people!!

whoever did that should fell ashamed of their self. I know Christmas isn't about the presents, but she didn't even try to get you a good gift. I hope the other friends called her out on it, because that's ****** up.

I did secret Santa with some friends a few years ago and I spent £15 on someone but never actually a gift myself because my secret Santa had been giving me the silent treatment(this went on for ages and the others ignored it). I could go on to explain more but well, I hate thinking about back then...
