I think #43 was just confused because Canada is known for being cold, so he/she thought Canadians didn't have any nice beaches, because there'd be snow all over the sand.

Smells like Vancouver. Sorry OP, but you should probably leave valuables at home or in your car while at the beach.
What valuables are there that you can fit into a lotion bottle but not wear into the water/in the sand? Quality jewelry should be fine in any circumstance and if it was cheap crap why not just leave it at home?
When ever I'm in the water I always keep my stuff in eyes view so if anything happens you see it
