acidonymous tells us more.
this is literally my first FML ever made, let alone published!!! This was really surprising to wake up to. But to elaborate a little bit more, yes i did have to stay and clean it up, but i did get paid to do it. The lady in the motor scooter did not make any purchases and walked out of the store right after it happened (walking perfectly fine), probably to avoid conflict. So no one got the chance to talk to her. luckily i had no immediate plans after work other than sleep!

Ugh those people suck. Laziness is far too acceptable these days.
IT'S RASCAL TIPPIN TIME!!!!!!
Aisle assume she was faking.
Another case of no insurance hit and run.
Clean it up and then tell your boss, maybe your boss will give you a raise or something for being so awesome. Sorry tho!
Why are people getting so rude. They also seem to not be able to take responsibility. Sorry this happened to you.
A year and a half ago I was in a car accident where I was ejected and I broke my pelvis and had half a dozen other injuries. Once I got out of the nursing home I had to use a walker and then a cane. I only used the scooters twice because I was afraid people would look at me and think I was only on it because I was lazy and overweight. (Also those ******* are impossible to drive without hitting something, and when they back up they beep loudly and made me feel like a semi)
Not long ago I was dealing with some pretty nasty endometriosis. Nothing was visibly wrong with me, but I was in constant agonizing pain for MONTHS. Walking was absolute misery, but I didn't want to use one of the scooters for those exact reasons... I kept being paranoid that someone would see a 'healthy' mid-20's hippie and chew me out for using one. I finally did break down and use one on a really bad day, and thankfully no one commented on it, but I never used one again since I discovered the rattling of the motor aggravated my condition. Thank all that is holy I don't have to deal with that nightmare anymore.
My mother has a heart condition and fibromyalgia, and she's too scared to use the scooters because she knows the looks people give to overweight people on scooters.
It's bad enough that people are too lazy to walk through the store, but now they pull this shit? I'm sorry for you, man.
Don't all supermarkets have cameras so your boss will know what happened. Just saying

Ah, so she's "handicapped" and doesn't even need the scooter?
But like you said, 59, your husband wasn't able to walk longer than a minute. Op said that the lady seemed to be walking just fine and hastily across the store and the parking lot towards her car. But anyways, if she had, or not, any disability, the least she could do was apologize before leaving.
