Today, I was at work when I found an iPhone on the floor. I decided not to turn it into the manager and keep it. Five minutes later, a customer asked if anyone had turned in her missing phone. I said no and began to walk away, when her friend called her phone. It rang. She recognized the ringtone. FML

You shouldn't have tried to steal it! iPhones are expensive!! I can already hear some moron on their keyboard typing, "But that's why someone would steal one, duh! So they don't have to pay for it!" That doesn't make it right. YDI. And I hope she presses charges.

YDI for being dumb and not turning it off haha. As far as other people saying OP is a bad person for taking the phone, they need to get off their high horse. A lot of people would take a phone especially if it's an iPhone. The dumb lady who left it there really should take care of her property better by making sure she doesn't leave it. In my opinion, if you leave something in a public place and someone else takes it, it's not stealing cause you're dumb enough to leave it there. Stealing would be if they actually went through your purse or your pockets and took it.
