Of course the VCR wasn't working, it's like a 100 years old. What a stupid kid, and I doubt that the officer speaking to the kid on the phone wasn't suspicious about his childish voice. Aren't we supposed to tell them what the emergency is on the phone? I don't think the cops would show up for a stupid VCR problem.
are you stupid?? if you call 911 and hang up they call you back and you dont answer they will show up thinking there is some reason you called and cant answer..im sure some kid crying on the phone would seem suspicious enough to come they dont take 911 calls lightly
how long were you on the phone and not paying attention to the crying 5-yr-old you were supposed to be babysitting that the police had time to come??
Agreed who has a VCR get a laser disk player. And get the kid some common sense.
lmao!!!
maybe she was phoning on her mobile, and the little boy called from the house telephone!
uh VCRs are awesome they're the good ol days

If she was ignoring the boy and talking on the phone then that's a problem. But if she was just making a quick call and he didn't come to bother her, then there is no big deal. I bet all you chastising her for talking on the phone have never baby-sat a kid a day in your life.
This happened to my cousin. He was babysitting my younger cousin (his brother) who was like, 4 or 5 at the time, and they got in a fight over taking his toy away. He ended up chasing the little brother around the house, who ran into the kitchen, called 911 and yelled 'my brother's being mean to me!' and hung up. Cops came over, it was embarrassing for all. The kid got taught what a *real* emergency was that night.
