Today, I was babysitting, and the family dog was unable to move, so I had texted the mother about it. We put the small dog on the couch to make it comfortable while the mother was on her way to get the dog and take it to the vet. Turns out, we sat with a dead dog for about ten minutes. FML

The little dog knew what was going on. You're lucky it didn't start eating the carcass. That would have really traumatized the kids!

There was ONE DOG TOTAL in the house. ONE. They put the ONE DOG IN THE HOUSE on the couch to make them comfortable. There were no dogs alive in the house after the ONE dog died. At this point, it's starting to sound like you can't accept that you misread the post.

My dog died taking a piss outside, we helped him out there, he went and peed, walked over to a tree stump, sat down and looked up at me and my mom, and just died, we buried him in his favorite blanket in the backyard next to a fence where he used to play with the neighbors dog, sad day

That Sucks, I was once dogsitting for my neighbors while they were on vacation, and their dog died overnight on the first night. I feel your pain OP
