Today, I was eating out at a restaurant with my family. My dad had drained most of our bottle of wine, so thinking he'd be a little less uptight than usual, I reached over to pour myself some. He swatted my hand away and started yelling at me for being a "degenerate drunk". FML

I'm going to assume it would take more than most of a bottle to become outrageously drunk (just guessing, I don't drink). As such, the dad might not be a hypocrite. Perhaps OP has a history of heavy drinking (regardless of age), in which case, the dad would have been less of a hypocrite and more of a jerk. Not saying this is necessarily the case, but as with every FML, all the details are never shared.

it said no where in this post that the dad took them out, for all we know OP could have been the one to pay or it could have been the mother or a grandparent or any number of people. Just assuming the father is the one paying is a very sexist ways of thinking
