Today, I was eating out at a restaurant with my family. My dad had drained most of our bottle of wine, so thinking he'd be a little less uptight than usual, I reached over to pour myself some. He swatted my hand away and started yelling at me for being a "degenerate drunk". FML

Err it's definitely 18.. I think there are certain rules about having one glass of something with a full meal at 16, but only if the restaurant allows it. I get ******* ID'd all the time!

#13- you are thinking of France or Spain who have 16 as the legal drinking age but are a lot more relaxed on the drinking age. You can buy alcohol Without getting ID'd at most ages

You deserve this one. From the way you say you thought he'd be less uptight and let you have a drink, leads me to believe you are under age. So, you shouldn't be drinking in a public restaurant. Secondly, if your father is under the influence, you can never know for sure how he will react.
