Today, I was flying back home from college with my Mom. At the airport, the ticket agent tells us she only has one ticket listed for Margaret. My mom and I have the same name. American Airlines thought a Margaret had bought two tickets by mistake, so they cancelled one of the transactions. FML

Why wouldn't they like call you or something and ask if it's a mistake instead of just cancelling your tickets? I know plenty of people that have the same names, especially if they're related.

I've been stranded on layovers because the computer system decided to delete/lose my information for my connecting flight, as in, yeah I was on an inbound flight, but not outbound even though I had the effing ticket in my hand. This has now happened TWICE. They invariably are too incompetent to fix it until my connecting flight has already left. Also the connecting flight never gets held for them to figure it out because until someone finally pushes the right button, they act like I am making shit up to ruin their day.

this obviously was a made up FML because if you payed for a ticket then it doesnt matter how many you bought or why you bought them.

My dad and I have the same name, I feel your pain, one time the bank had two Mark Bass's...they closed my bank account and transferred all my money to my dads account. I haven't seen my dad since I was 16.

never, ever, EVER name your child after you! ESPECIALLY if your name is Margaret!! gaahh what a horrible name...i'm sorry. i don't think they can do that, though...
