I absolutely hate spiders. But in this specific case I would choose them over the alternative.

Or they bought a used mattress, picked them up at a hotel, a visitor brought them in, etc. there are a lot of possibilities

It's more likely that they live in very unclean conditions. I have to remove things like this for work and people always claim that they got em somewhere else and brought them home. Yet that's never the case as their homes are filthy, trash ridden breeding grounds.

This reminds me of when my parents and I had the misfortune to stay in a cockroach infested house... I remember waking up to find a couple cockroaches tangled in my hair. Fun times. I can definitely empathise with you.

Looks like an upgrade. I can and have dealt with cockroaches living in South America for a bit, and spiders are everywhere, but bedbugs are just too much.

There was an old lady who lived in a duuuuump, but I don't know why she had the bedbugs. She needs a hug.
