Today, I was in a shopping centre when a little girl was running up and down the aisles. She started to fall over so I put my hand out to catch her. Her mother then ran up to me and screamed about me 'touching her child' so loud that everyone could hear. FML

You do not touch other people's children for any reason except that they're about to be severely injured. Falling over in the store does not it into this category. It seems wrong not to intervene, but there are thousands of people just like this woman that will not only embarrass you for trying to help with a child they weren't watching, but will even take legal action and try to make it seem like any injury they may have sustained was directly related to your involvement.

We actually don't know if the child could be severely injured. My brother tripped and broke his arm (and other places) while my sister just had a scrape when she was in the same situation. You can't really tell the future. :/

That's why people don't help another anymore because of bullshit like this. People will sue you, if they get hurt by you helping them in an emergency situation. Most people will care about themselves and their wallet before a life, weather its a animal or a person. It could be me just being angry, and I know there are people who will sacrafice their lives for one another, but look at 911 where all those people who tried to put the city back together, they faced a up hill battle for 10 fucken years just to get help from the government to cover the medical bills. Look the the HMO, they can deny anyone and for any reason they like if they're not making money off of you, that's before Obama care, now every is pissed that they're HMO is getting ****** up look up that facts, if don't like it make a better fucken suggestion, but no complain and more complain.
