Today, I was in bed sick from pneumonia. I asked my boyfriend to nuke a can of soup for me. He said "in a sec, let me finish this game" and continued to play on his Xbox for an hour. Starving, I crawled out to make soup. When I sat down to eat, he paused the game and asked "you didn't make me any?" FML

That sucks, sounds like he cares more about his game than his sick gf. Maybe you should have slapped him and yelled "make you own soup bitchh" lolz

He was right, you should have made him a hot bowl of soup then "tripped' on the way and given his console a nice bath.

did he play video games before you started going out? WYSIWYG.

You would have stopped something you enjoyed doing for him. You deserve to be treated with the same care you would give to others. Onwards and upwards girlfriend, you'll be better off without such a selfish bf

Gamer or not, he had no right to behave like that, especially if OP was sick. Everyone handles illnesses differently, even if it had been a simple cold or the flu, it could have been hell for OP just the same. I get sick maybe once every 2-3 years, and when I do, I feel like I want to die every time because I'm not used to it. So enough of this "YDI--you should make him a meal anyways even if you're sick, you pussy" bullshit, and enough of this "YDI you inconsiderate whiny needy bitch for not making him soup" douche talk. It takes 5 minutes at the absolute most to pause a game, tell your online gamer buddies that you need to make soup for your ill girlfriend, go the kitchen, pour some soup in a bowl, microwave it, and deliver it to her. If you have extra time, be considerate and get some orange juice for her too. It's not "women's work" either to do that. It's called being ******* CONSIDERATE of other people when they're sick, you assholes! If he doesn't love OP enough to do as I pointed out, then he's obviously not at a mature enough stage to even be dating. OP was anything but in the wrong here. I hope that she kicks his ass to the curb once she gets her strength back and finds someone who actually cares for her. Gamers are not a problem if they know how to tend to human needs at the same time.

Hahahaha, my boyfriend is always whining like a bitch and I'm on the boss level thinking," Stfu! I'm trying to play the frickin game!'
