Good thing my mother's car is older and I have to turn the key in the door. Good thing my father's car is stupid and I have to basically be right on top of it in order for the button to work.
lol mine's like that too. I have to be right next to it for it to work. Except, for some reason, when I'm at home. My daughter's been able to unlock it or make the horn alarm go off from in our apartment. We don't let her play with the keys anymore.
IDIOT. you are really dumb. haven't you heard enough about not opening your car until you are right next to it? hope you learned your lesson.
GG. Hope you learned though.
Has anyone considered that naybe the thief was hidden from OP's view when they unlocked the car.

That's your worst nightmare and his best dream.
Reflexively not instinctively
It sucks that your car got broken into, but you kinda deserved it. Caution dictates that you have your keys in your hand as you cross a parking lot, especially if its dark, but that you don't unlock the door till you're within 10 feet and can see the area around your car.

Don't unlock your car until you can see it!!! That is common sense 101 my friend.
Thank you for helping our fellow criminals do their jobs much more easily. You are indeed great help to the criminal law enforcement workers. We need more citizens like you.
