Today, I was leaving to go over to a friend's and my parents suddenly ask if I'm gay. I reply that no, I'm bisexual. My mom then asks if I've ever made out with someone of the same sex and I say yes. She turns to my dad and says 'I told you so. You owe me $20'. My parents bet on my sexuality. FML

Your parents are awesome. Lol.

#5 why is that terrible? His/her/whatever parents have a healthy view of sexuality (i.e., that it's completely trivial). I'm with 4 and 6. Would you rather their parents shun them for being gay/bi? Honestly, this is something my parents would do, and I would laugh along with them, because it's hilarious.

I think my parents had a similar betting pool in high school. I think my mom won. You definitely aren't alone in that one. ugh, parents..

u gotta love that i mean lol this is the one u know about who knows how many other bets they have made about u

dood that would suck. Its like my Uncles betting on which of us will succeed I got one bet on me :P

I could totally see my parents doing this.

There are a million worse things your parents could have done in that situation. You should consider yourself very lucky that you have parents rational enough to accept your sexuality enough to think that it is trivial.

"Oh poor me, they're betting on my sexual orientation." Are you really bisexual? You sound more like some self-centered whiney kid who's starving for attention. There are people who get completely disowned from their families and lose everything because of their sexual orientation. You have it pretty ******' good.

So you are bisexual and your parents asked you about it, BIG DEAL! It would be worse if you were straight and getting beat up at school because everyone thought you were gay... and then your parents piled on top.
