Today, I was looking through my computer's history to find a website I had visited. I found an online forum where my son was discussing how to inject Oxycontin. FML

Oxycodone is not a form of heroin, and neither is methadone. Methadone is used to give heroin addicts the same feeling as heroin, and the feeling goes away after the first use. Oxycodone is a pain reliever that is one molecule away from being heroin. At least he's not doing Heroin. I've done Oxycodone, and methadone. it's not bad, as in it's not that addicting or fun. If you pm me ill gladly explain to you what to do, and to help.

okay. In frikken english, somebody explain what the hell Oxy what ever it's called, is. I don't want scientific shit. I just want Addictive drug or Un addictive drug Or Something on the lines of Tylenol and motrin.

oxy is a strong pain killer, stronger than vicoden or percoset. it's close to the feeling you get from heroin and yes it can be very addicting. it is a man made pill and people either swallow, snort, smoke, or inject them. oftentimes once u are addicted to oxy you will start using heroin because it is cheaper than oxy. alot cheaper.

oxycodone and oxycontin are two totally different drugs!!! oxycodone=percocet. oxycontin=hillbilly heroin

oxycodone is alot stronger than percoset and they don't even manufacture oxycotin anymore because it was taken off the market for being too strong.

Um no....OxyContin is the NAME BRAND time-release form of oxycodone from the Purdue Pharma pharmaceutical company. They are the same drug.

It is an addicting pain killer that is fine when used perprescription, but very easy to abuse. It is dangerous to abuse less because of the oxycodone in it, but the Tylenol that it used to help it along. a lot of highschoolers who don't know better have killed their kidneys with oxycontin

OxyContin was never mixed with anything else, it was a single drug formula, oxycodone only. Oxycodone is often times mixed with ibuprofen and tylenol - the liver problem stems from kids abusing tylenol 3 and darvocet and the like.

There is def no tylenol in oxycontin. percocet has oxycodone and apap.

For all of you saying this parent wasn't watching close enough, it's not true. Once someone is addicted to oxys and heroin they are extremely good at hiding it. Addicts will lie and manipulate to get what they want and those closest to them will not notice something immediately. My brother was able to hide his addiction to oxys and heroin very well. It wasn't until he started slipping that we were able to notice. My advice to this parent is to get this kid into recovery as soon as you can. Also check out an Al Anon meeting for yourself so you learn more about addiction.

It was taken off the market because of the patent on the time-release is being disputed, not because it's too strong. Dilaudid is waaaayyy stronger and still very much on the market.

I have oxycontin in my medical cabnet. They still make it. And it ain't hillbilly heroin. We know how to make it... and meth as well.
