The british accent really sounds bizarre to me... I can understand people's [stupid] reactions when they hear it. You know, it sounds a bit gay (no offense to the gays, nor anyone) compared to other accents. FYL, btw :)

How funny!! I had the EXACT thing happen to me when I was living in London. A guy ripped me apart for my, "fake, thick, horribly-executed American accent." Huh... Some people have no ear for authenticity.
