Moral of the story? Dont underestimate a senior citizen they may look all innocent but they are EVIL. That senior citizen is an absolute son of a gun. I hope you recover op.

Meh. I see where you're coming from, but what are the chances of actually drawing your weapon and taking an effective shot before your assailant pulls the trigger in a situation like this? I'm all for self-defense and I'm not against concealed carry, but it's probably best to think about how some of these situations might actually play out in reality.
