Today, I was on the elevator going up to a meeting, and the elevator was getting more and more crowded as we went up. After about ten people got on, they all agreed that I should get off the elevator because they thought me being on was exceeding the weight limit. FML

I know being over weight Has many risks. But why are people so mean to fat people No one is mean to alcoholics for drinking so much or smokers who make everyone sifter with the smell ( not saying all smokers do ) Food van be an adiction just like drugs and alcohol. Like when some people want to " escape reality " they get high. When some people get stressed/sad they eat. People who are into hard drugs put others at risk, people who drink and drive put others at risk, being fat only pits the fat person at risk no one else. Can anyone tell me why people are so mean to fat people?

The irony, at least in the U.S., is that the majority of Americans are medically overweight. And a shocking proportion of the population are considered obese. That's right folks, today's "medium" T-shirt used to be a Haines XL. People are mean to fatties for the same reason people watch daytime TV - people feel better about themselves when they put others down. And, honestly, fat people are the last group where it is still acceptable. I mean, lets face it, we lost the retards and the fags and the jigs and the nips and the spicks and the dot-heads and the playful game of grab ass with the ladies in the office...all that's left now is a game of lets tease the heffer and laugh at that guy's "moobs".
