Today, I was out clubbing, when some bloke at the bar started trying to pick fights with everyone. Trying to defuse the situation with humour, I said, "I used to be a tough guy like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee." The next thing I know, I have a broken nose. FML

"I used to tell people took an arrow to the knee, but then I took a fist to the nose." - OP

I used to hate that quote, but I took a Skyrim to the addiction section of my brain.

Better than saying something like "You need to be 20% more calmer".

I'll be honest, it would be better. It's not like a lot of non-bronies would get it.

Right, because if you said "more calmer" you'd be grammatically incorrect. EDIT: Unless it's an inside joke thing, which I just picked up on. In THAT case, I'll just accept defeat, and go back to my corner. *walks away slowly*

I used to wonder what friendship could be, until I took an arrow to the knee.

Lol at #15, actually I would have loved to hear someone evaluate his level of hostility and suggest a very specific 20% increase in his calmness!!! That might have actually froze the guy for a second while a big "WTF?" blinked over his head! ;) The not-so-smart ass comment about the arrow in the knee begs for a shot in the beak. 10 points for the intention of defusing the situation, -9 points for the method selected.

SKYRIM! I used to be a Skyrimer like you, then my computer took an arrow to the power supply. :( I miss it.

When I read the words club, bloke, and bar, I thought this would be about coat stands.

It's a joke referring to the game skyrim.

Maybe because that joke was old five minutes after Skyrim came out.

On the Internet, maybe. But not when applied in real life situations, especially on strangers who have no idea what it means.

Even though I do not like the meme, docscientist may have a point. A lot of memes are funnier when people do not understand them. I hated the "u mad bro?" meme then my friend said that to some guy who was mad and he flipped out in a hilarious fashion. I usually don't think it was funny but the man was saying the most ridiculous things. One time I could've sworn he said something along the lines of "Of course I am mad? You see my face? Is it all happy like this:" Then he makes the most ridiculous smiley face ever. I literally laughed my ass off and had to gorilla glue it back on.

I'm with 20 on this one. If someone said that to me I'd hit them in the face like OP. Partly because I just had knee surgery (soccer injury) and partly because I find the meme annoying as hell.

Now you say you used to be the guy who defused situations until a fist hit your face.

Or he has and is sick of hearing that line. I'm voting for that option because I completely empathise.

So Is THAT where all this has started from??

Thanks. And well, everyone has their own opinion. (:

No. Love is what you use to describe Skyrim.
