Today, I was playing a game with my family where we had to say the name of an actor/actress that started with a certain letter. When I said mine, my dad grounded me because he knew it was a pornstar. Now my mom is mad at my dad for watching porn too. FML

You say he grounded you "because he knew it was a pornstar" as if it was about him knowing it was, not because you made the stupid mistake of accidentally naming one. How did you think this was going to work out? If no one knows who you're talking about, they're not just going to accept that this person is actress in existence. They either already know they're in ****, or they'll look them up and find out that they are. Hence - yes, why would you say the name of a pornstar?

Actually, depending on the family (case in point, mine) they just might accept it at face value. Not everyone plays to win. I can understand how OP would have thought it could slide. His dad just recognized the **** name and was like oh hell no

Why do parents get mad at their kids for watching ****? As long as they're not doing it out in the open, on the parents bed, using the parents toys, using the parents clothing or computer or being nasty about it I see no problem. I'd rather my kid be at home masturbating to **** than having them get pregnant or get someone else pregnant. These kinds of things will only make the children do things behind their parents backs. How can you expect a 16 year old boy not to **********? I bet your parents have sex, so disgraceful! Yeah I understand their house their rules, but cum on. We all ********** and odds are we all have seen ****. I don't get why it's such a taboo thing to look at or do.

I'd rather my hypothetical kids commit non violent crimes over murdering hoboes. That's a poor argument. It's not an either or issue. Sexuality is still developing as children and they should't be warped by all the **** that exists.

What kind of analogy is that, you're comparing crimes to sex/**** as if they're even remotely equivalent. Sex is natural and healthy, **** is legal, crimes are illegal and wrong, they hurt people. Sexuality is still developing in kids, and this is exactly why you need to give them an outlet to explore it and satisfy these urges. If don't allow this, you will have a kid that will have sex earlier, and one that won't trust you and sneak behind your back as well. Also, if you condemn your kids' sexuality and urges, trying to suppress it, trying to get them to stop doing something that is completely natural, because wanting to see sexual images at these ages, even if you might not like it, it is still natural, it will only serve to raise a kid who is very sexually unhealthy, because they think their desires are wrong.

A 15 year old is in high school, learning geometry and other things, can have a job, start looking at colleges among other things, yet you still call them a child. At 16, they can get a permit and start driving. Yet you don't want them looking at ****. I'm not saying we should allow young children to see it, I'm saying we should allow teenagers to view it because 100% of teenagers will have some form of sexuality. I started getting into that kind of stuff at 15. I read a lot of smutty fanfics, wrote some myself, watched ****, drew **** and other things. I think the law is stupid because what good will it do if you can get arrested or fined for that? You're going to lock up a 15 year old for looking at ******* on the internet? In some states, 16 is the legal age of consent. So you're saying you can legally consent to sex at 16, but you can't view **** until you're 18? That's why I'm saying it's a dumb rule that you have to be older than 18 to look at ****.

Your point of it being legal to have sex at 16, but not view **** until 18, is perfect, there is no logic there. The laws for not allowing people under the age of 18 to view **** really do need to be changed.
