Today, I was roused from my peaceful slumber by the sound of evil laughter coming from my closet. It was my old Furby, with dead batteries, that I could have sworn I got rid of several years ago. FML

This happened to me when I was a kid. I got one from my aunts for Christmas during the height of Furby mania. Didn't want it, played with it once (because my dad made me so I wouldn't hurt her feelings), took the batteries out for another toy and stuck it up in my closet. Two years later it started shrieking and dancing in the middle of the night and scared the shit out of me. It wouldn't stop until I'd smashed it to bits with a hammer. My mom says she's never seen me look so terrified as when I came running downstairs with it shrieking in my hands.
