Today, I was running late and realized I had locked my keys in my car. Frantic, I threw a rock through the drivers side window to retrieve them, just before noticing the passenger side door was unlocked. FML

yes, I definitely failed..... I had an exam at 10:00 and thought it was 11:00. Professor locks the door at the beginning, and I would have failed the class if I was late. Fortunately, my brother repairs windows, so i ended up getting it fixed for free :)

Why would you even do that?! Plus, wouldn't it be common sense to check all doors to confirmed they're indeed locked?

What kind of ******* moron destroys their own car!? Locked out? Sucks for you, but whatever you were late for was not worth that. YDI

This is why I keep a spare key hidden under my car. They have these magnetic boxes that you can stow a key in. I've locked my keys in my car so many time it's ridiculous. I recommend the OP do the same. Even if you never lock your keys in your car again, it's better to have a backup if you do. (And no, the box has never fallen off.)

you've never heard of triple a? instead of breaking a car window?

who needs triple A? why wait for a locksmith when you can just vandalize your own car? YDI op, YDI

Just asking, but how did you not check the all of the doors first....? I would have, considering that I will probably have to pay alot of money to fix it.

YDI for not calling Onstar / Your Insurance Company and requesting a remote unlock / roadside assistance. You're paying for the service, aren't you? Take advantage of it!

I have not broken my car window, but I do understand the panic. deep breaths next time.

This is stupid. Locking the drivers door automatically locks all the other doors too. If it didn't, how would you lock the back doors?

If the car does not have power locks, or they don't work right this can happen. I have a car where one door will unlock 100% of the time, but does not lock 80% of the time.

Not all cars do that...mine doesn't. Do you actually think that of all the millions of cars in the world they are all the same? Seriously...
