#91, I know that, and you still want to sympathetic with the CASHIER? **** you.
should have stayed in school.
haha she had a miscarriage. she's a bad mother. xD
I really don't find that funny... you should be ashamed. }:|
Yes we are sympathetic to the OP/cashier with regards to the fact that some peple are putting YDI for what the op said to the customer and the resulting reaction . The OP was making friendly chat with the customer , which is much preferable to a rictus grinned automaton of a ******* robot serving you when you buy something. The OP couldn't possibly have known the reason for the un-named stocking which is why they commented to the customer that it was a bit of a mystery. It a perfectly normal thing to wonder if all the other ones being sold have names on them. Use your ******* brain. Obviously it's a pity the customer lost a child, but the OP had no way of knowing this. So therefore the OP was completely correct to feel bad about it ( notice they DID feel bad about it? ) and posted it as an FML because they felt awful after the customer explained what the stocking was for.
Don't worry about it, OP. I'm sure the woman wasn't thinking "The cashier KNEW I had lost my baby, and was rubbing it in!" In customer service, we're expected to make conversation with the customers. This can sometimes lead to uncomfortable situations like this. There was no reason for you to think that she was getting a blank personalized stocking for such a sad reason.
Coming from the guy with a picture of a robot, and who can't spell ******* right. What makes you think she was flirting? Ever heard of a compliment? Oh wait, you've probably never gotten one before.
oh damn.... that has to feel horrible
More like FHL :( Poor baby! :(

You didn't know. Although that would've hurt to talk about a lost baby.
That's a bit bizarre for a parent to do. Why leave the kid's name off if it's supposed to be in memory? What am I missing here?
