just quit.
wow, is the job really worth it when ur boss doesnt even care if anything happens to? find something new. better than risking ur life for an ass
You know **** these pussy assholes... Clearly they have never been in this kind of a situation. Your boss should have at least let you have the rest of the day off. Being robbed is no joke. You don't know what people can and will do. And for anyone to tell you to just deal with it is stupid. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I really truly hope that you are okay. I do agree with some of these people though and think you need to find a new job. Good luck and be careful.
ya, i had a jackass for a boss in a rental store too, in the contract he told me to sign on the spot it ended up stating that I would be held accountable for any theft during my shift, by either me or a 3rd party. He ended up changing the name of the business so it wouldn't be a franchise anymore (no more dues to pay, but keep the same customers), this however meant the contract was void (something he never thought about). A group of teens came in and stole $1,082.93 worth of stuff, the reason I know the amount, my boss originally deducted it from my pay (and failed to give me a paystub for over a month letting me know about it). When I confronted him about it, he said it's in my contract that he can, and I should learn to read, so I gave him my two weeks, he said you can leave now if you want, so i just walked about. About 7 months later, I received a little under $2,000 :D got to love the labour board :D i had put in a complaint with them, and they investigated it, they were able to get my money back that i knew i was intitled to, but also money from other illegal deductions, unpaid vacation pay and unpaid holiday pay. They also checked into the other employees, and after he fixed minimum wage for me (saying he didn't know it went up) he never fixed it for the others. Someone else ended up taking over the store afterwords and last i heard they jackass moved away
Oops, misread.
wow ur boss is so not a jerk. srry bout the bad experience though :( it'll pass and you'll forget it (:
Why were you crying? Were you shot? Did he assault you? Oh wait, what's that? You mean you weren't injured AT ALL? Then grow the **** up. Be thankful you survived and stop crying, pussy.
Bro, edgy as ****!
Mr. Jim "the jackass" Emperor, please shut the **** up. If you weren't hurt you got lucky. I would've thought that they would have called everyone that worked there to see if someone could stay with you. at least a cop or two.
I've had a loaded gun pointed in my face on more then one occasion. No one "stayed" with me or tucked me into bed. Like I said, OP should be glad that's she's alive. Yeah, the boss was a dick for making her finish the shift, but the crying? Come on, what are you, 5?
Jim: Pics or didn't happen.
Yes, take notice of that phrase you used, Jim ; '--on more than one occasion..-'. Nowhere in this post does it say that OP had been threatened with a weapon multiple times, therefore leading us to believe this was the first time. What did you do the first time you were held at gunpoint? Because I know more than half the world would be terrified. OP could be suffering from paranoia, schizophrenia etc, which could lead her to be even more skittish and panicky than others.
Yeah...I'd like to see you after you get robbed. Asshole.

Don't worry. Video stores will soon become extinct. You'll be out of a job in no time.
